Editorial interns work directly with Modern Luxury's six Chicago-based editors and gain invaluable experience producing cutting-edge content for CS, Men's Book, NS, Weddings, Interiors and City Guide. This is a completely hands-on and intensive internship suitable only for someone who has a strong interest in magazine journalism, is a fast learner, thinks on their feet and embraces a “can-do” attitude. The ability to multi-task is an absolute must. Some responsibilities include, but are not limited to: fact-checking, story research, pitching, writing, and transcribing. Interns with exceptional writing skills will be allowed to cover Chicago’s culture, fashion and philanthropy scenes. You'll work on a wide variety of projects throughout the day, often within tight deadlines. -Design and production/troubleshooting of display advertising in Modern Luxury’s titles.
-Advertorial and special section design and execution: creation of production-ready templates
-Event collateral design: digital invitations, signs, posters, tent cards, takeaways, menus, etc.
-Design of sales and marketing support materials: presentations, sales one-sheets, maps, media kits, rate cards, etc.
-Design of creative selling solutions for potential clients: promotions, digital incentives, custom marketing collateral, creative mock-ups
-Digital advertising and marketing design: emails, website and mobile advertising, social media graphics, e-newsletter advertising
-Adapting to specific naming conventions, file processing and archiving standards
-Learning and adhering to Modern Luxury’s brand standards and executing all creative work with our brand image in mind
-Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud is required

Director of Marketing is responsible for developing and maintaining marketing strategies to meet the objective of the market. Oversees all marketing, advertising and promotional staff activities at a local level, while working with the national sales and marketing teams.

Modern Luxury is seeking a VP, Brand Marketing. The VP, Brand Marketing will act as a strong leader and mentor to the national team across two divisions, as well as a strong day-to-day lead with the sales team, senior management and colleagues in each of our local branch offices.
Ideal candidate will possess “hybrid” event/experiential background rooted in both client-service and hands-on production, programming, and partnerships as well as integrated marketing strategy experience with client servicing ability.

Interns will learn the inner-workings of what goes into putting a magazine together from a marketing and sales perspective. The intern will report directly to the Marketing Manager, and will be assigned tasks from the Marketing team, Sales Account Executives, and the Publisher directly. Interns will have constant interaction between other interns and the rest of the office. Internship duties vary greatly. Tasks include social media creation, strategy and execution, sales client research, client outreach, social media updates, reporting current events on the website and post-event coverage, Palm Beach event research and planning, and more. Interns will also have the opportunity to join us and assist with events throughout the year. Events are also another vital part of this internship and part of what the Marketing teams deliver for advertising clients. Interns will learn pre-event prep details, about event execution and all that is involved in delivering a great event, as well about a number of other factors that comprise post-event wrap up and deliverables.
